Tackle

The fall tackle program is for 2nd through 8th graders.  Participants in the tackle program must register on-line after May 1 and then attend one of the 5 "One Stop Football Shop" days scheduled on Saturdays throughout the summer.  Payment for equipment rental fees, registration fees and/or physicals may be made during the on-line registration process.  The equipment rental fee must be paid prior to checking out equipment at the complex on one the One Stop Football Shop days -- either by submitting credit card, check or cash payment directly to the club office or by paying at the One Stop Football Shop day before being issued equipment.

FCCJC provides raffle tickets to each participant equal to the registration fee ($125 for 2nd grade and $170 for 3rd-8th grade). These raffle tickets can be sold ($5 each) to help parents offset the registration fee. Sell all of the tickets and parents have no out-of-pocket expense on the registration fee. FCCJC secures a number of prizes to give away at the raffle. Winners are contacted to pick up prizes -- the prize list is also posted on the website and at the complex. The raffle stubs should be turned in at Heritage at the complex manager's office on game days prior to the drawing -- make sure staples are removed from each booklet.

Players must be present at registration. Proof of grade (report card, yearbook picture, etc.) and age (birth certificate, hospital record, passport, state ID, etc.) OR an FCCJC-issued player card must be presented at weigh-in. Players are weighed and fitted for shoulder pads and helmet if renting the equipment (equipment rental fee is $70 -- nonrefundable $25 late fee applies if renting after July 27). Individuals who own their own equipment must bring it to registration to have the equipment checked and approved for wearing during the season.

Families in need of financial assistance for the $70 equipment rental fee may complete a scholarship request form.   A scholarship fund has also been established to assist families with the registration fee ($125 or $170).  Click here for that form.  Deadlines have been established for each scholarship program and are noted on the appropriate scholarship application.

A doctor is available at scheduled registrations to perform a sport physical for $20. Tackle players MUST have a physical prior to starting practices. If players are taken to their personal physican, you may use this form.

Noncontact practices begin the last Monday of July. A minimum number of hours of conditioning must be completed by all tackle players prior to starting contact practices, which start the first Monday of August.

Players choosing to quit should return their equipment to the FCCJC office at 6740 Antioch, Suite 250, during regular business hours (Mon-Fri, 9 am to 5 pm). If quitting before games begin, the equipment rental fee, less a $5 administrative fee, will be refunded by check. Unsold raffle tickets must also be returned at the same time in order to receive a refund.
